Psychotherapy · Bellellen, Victoria
Considered, evidence-based psychotherapy for adults — held in person in Bellellen and online across Victoria. A quiet place to slow down, be heard, and begin again.
Welcome
I'm a psychotherapist working with adults across the Wimmera and greater Western Victoria. My practice is a quiet, confidential space where you can slow down, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you're carrying — without judgement and without rush.
I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and the kinds of life transitions that can leave us feeling unmoored. Some clients come during a clear crisis; others arrive simply knowing that something needs to shift. Both are welcome here.
Living and working in a rural community myself, I understand the particular pressures of regional life — isolation, the seasons of farming and small-town living, the long distances, and the quiet strength it takes to ask for support. Whatever brings you to this page, I'm glad you're here.

How I Can Help
Every person who walks through the door brings something different. These are the areas I most often work in — but if what you're facing isn't listed here, please still reach out.
One-to-one sessions for anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, burnout, and personal growth. We'll work at your pace to understand what's getting in the way and gently build new ways forward.
A supportive space for partners to be heard. Together we'll work on communication, navigating conflict with care, and rebuilding the trust and connection that brought you together.
Career change, retirement, separation, becoming a parent, an empty nest, loss — the in-between places. Therapy can help you find your footing and shape what comes next.
My Approach
My work draws on a blend of modalities — person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed care. Rather than fitting you into a method, I adapt to what you bring to each session, drawing on the approach that best supports the work in front of us.
At the heart of all of it is the relationship between us. Lasting change rarely comes from technique alone; it grows from feeling genuinely safe, seen, and respected. Sessions are held in a confidential, comfortable setting where there's room to think, feel, and, when you're ready, to begin again.

Specialisations
Every story is different, but these are the threads that come up most in the room. If something here resonates — or if it doesn't quite fit but you still feel the pull to reach out — please do.
From persistent worry to panic — quietening an over-firing nervous system.
Working through heaviness, numbness, and the loss of colour from daily life.
Gentle, paced trauma-informed work — including single incident, complex and intergenerational.
For bereavement, miscarriage, the end of a relationship, or the loss of a way of life.
Drought, isolation, succession, and the particular weight of working the land.
Couples counselling and individual work on patterns, communication and connection.
Career change, separation, parenthood, retirement, identity shifts.
For those who give a lot — carers, teachers, nurses, parents, partners.
What To Expect
Reaching out is often the hardest part. By the time you've sent that first message, you've already done something brave. Here's what tends to happen next.
Send a short message or call. There's no script — a sentence about what's bringing you here is plenty.
We talk briefly, with no pressure. You can ask anything, and we both get a feel for whether it's a good fit.
A gentle 50 minutes. I listen, you set the pace. By the end we'll have a sense of where the work might begin.
Weekly or fortnightly sessions, in person or via telehealth. We review together so the work stays meaningful.

"Kath made me feel safe enough to say the things I'd been carrying for years. Her quiet attention changed how I sit with myself."
"I came in flattened by grief. I left, slowly, with my feet back under me. I can't recommend her warmth and skill highly enough."
"What I appreciated most was how unhurried the work was. Kath let me lead, and somehow that made the change happen faster."
